GUESTALIS · YOUR DATA
Privacy policy
Last updated: September 24, 2026
Guestalis helps hosts answer their guests’ questions on the website and on WhatsApp. This page explains how the service processes data.
Who to contact
Guestalis is operated by Antoine Delorme. For questions or requests about your data, contact antoine.delorme@guestalis.com. Your accommodation host remains your contact for booking information and the details they enter about your stay.
Data we use
- For hosts: sign-in account details, including email address, homes, welcome guides, contact details and subscription references.
- For guests: messages and assistant replies, their dates, the relevant home and, on WhatsApp, the phone number and message identifiers. The host may also enter your name, number and stay dates to associate you with the right home.
- Technical connection and usage data is processed to operate the service, diagnose errors and limit abuse.
Why and how data is used
Data is used to open your account, manage your subscription, identify the relevant home and answer your questions. Hosts can review conversations for their homes and unanswered questions to improve their guides.
Account and service management relies on performance of the contract. Security, abuse prevention and request handling rely on the legitimate interest in providing a reliable service. Billing information may also be processed to meet legal obligations.
Replies are generated by artificial intelligence using the home guide and conversation context. They can be inaccurate: contact your host to confirm important information. Avoid sending sensitive data or payment information in the conversation.
Recipients and service providers
Information is accessible to the relevant host and people authorized to administer Guestalis. The service uses Google Cloud and Firebase for hosting, data and sign-in; Cloudflare for website access; Meta for WhatsApp; Stripe for payments; and OpenRouter and the provider running the AI model to generate replies.
The necessary guide and conversation content is sent to the AI service. Payment details are entered on Stripe: Guestalis does not store your full card number. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Their policies explain processing locations and applicable safeguards.
Retention and deletion
The public demo uses a fictional home and sends your questions and a limited conversation history to the AI service. These exchanges are not saved in hosts’ conversations and disappear from the demo when the page is reloaded. Technical counters associated with a daily fingerprint of the IP address limit daily use.
Account and home data is retained to provide and manage the service. Conversations and guest records are not automatically erased at the end of a stay. Deleting a home from the host workspace deletes its conversations and guest records. Deleting only a guest record does not delete the conversation history.
You can request deletion by following the Data deletion instructions. Some information may need to be retained to meet a legal obligation or handle a dispute; applicable exceptions will be explained when your request is handled.
Cookies and browser storage
Guestalis uses a sign-in session lasting up to 14 days and remembers your chosen language. The web conversation is stored in the browser tab to allow reloading; closing the tab does not erase exchanges already saved on the server.
Your rights
You can request access, correction or deletion of your data and, where applicable, portability, restriction of processing or object to processing. Write to antoine.delorme@guestalis.com. Proportionate identity verification may be needed to protect your information. You may also submit a complaint to the CNIL.
Measurement choices
With your consent, Guestalis uses the Google Ads tag on the home, welcome-book, sign-in and privacy pages to measure signups from ads. The tag is blocked until you agree. Google may receive your IP address, browser information, page URLs and ad-click identifiers. A confirmed signup is sent with a random identifier to prevent duplicates, without your name, email or Guestalis account identifier. Remarketing and enhanced conversions are disabled. The tag does not load in guest guides, the demo or the host workspace. Campaign and Google measurement cookies are configured for 30 days; your choice and a withdrawal key are kept for 90 days. In our own tools we link the campaign to the account and dates of guide preparation, trial and first Stripe-confirmed payment (reference, amount and currency). These internal records are excluded from reports after 90 days and then automatically deleted, usually within 24 hours. Payments, conversations, guest information and bank details are not sent to Google Ads. Decline or withdraw in ‘Measurement choices’. Withdrawal stops future transmissions, clears measurement cookies accessible on Guestalis and deletes internal measurement linked to this browser and the signed-in account. It does not automatically delete data already received by Google, whose use and retention follow its policy: Google. Contact us to exercise your rights or withdraw from another browser without signing in.
